The Family Services Program provides year-round supportive services and developmental programs for adults and youth who reside within our housing communities! The youth development activities are comprised of after-school and summer programs. For adults we provide case management services as well as community classes that focus on fitness, education, life skills and more. Community building activities such as food banks, holiday events, celebrations and community meetings are also organized through our Family Services Team.

Youth Programming
Our community centers offer daily youth programming during after school hours from Monday to Friday. We provide youth programming to children ages 5 to 18. Our youth learn the importance of valuing education, fitness, and art, just to name a few lessons. We provide engaging quality programs that allow our youth to build skills, confidence, and a strong foundation for a bright future.
Physical fitness is essential to living a long healthy life. Through regular exercise we can prevent many chronic conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, anxiety, depression and more. It is essential that our youth develop healthy habits that help them to lead an active lifestyle. We want physical fitness to be fun, engaging, and educational. Through physical activities our kids learn the value of teamwork and perseverance! We provide a minimum of 90 minutes a week of fitness programming. This consistency allows our youth to develop their muscles, their coordination, and their confidence.

Activities
Our kids learn to stretch, do yoga, dance and more! They practice a variety of sports such as soccer, volleyball, dodgeball, and football. Our kids have had the opportunity to go rock climbing, practice archery, and go to the batting cages. We are always adding new activities to keep our youth active and eager to participate!
With many schools cutting fine arts programs, it is more important than ever that we provide activities that will help our youth explore different modalities of art. Our kids learn to express themselves and have fun while painting, drawing, playing music and more.

Activities
Our kids have the opportunity to create masterpieces using watercolors, acrylic paint, charcoal sticks, and more. We practice everything from simple crafts to pottery to improv. We are always exploring new activities to keep our youth engaged and using their creative juices.
A good education sets the foundation for a successful future. Here at Archway we want to ensure that all of our youth have the tools they need to be successful. We value education and teach our youth to do the same. We provide an hour of educational programming every day Monday through Friday. This time allow us to give one on one attention to help youth who may be struggling in school. We also provide group activities to help our youth develop various academic skills.

Our youth learn the value of a balanced nutrition, how to practice good hygiene, and simple first aid. They also learn about topics such as understanding and managing our emotions. We provide science, technology, engineering, and math programming to our youth. This allows our youth to develop the analytical and critical thinking skills they need to be successful in these fields. We want our youth to experiment, question, and create! We partner with 4-H to provide quality programming that is guaranteed to have a lasting impact.

Activities
Our kids have the opportunity to conduct chemical experiments, build various structures, learn about different scientific principles, and more. Our kids have learned about aerodynamics through building rockets, catapults, and paper airplanes. Our kids have learned about the principles of conductivity by building circuits and switchboards. The possibilities for STEM activities is endless! We are always trying new activities to keep STEM exciting!
Our Bright Futures program allows youth to explore a variety of career paths. We want our youth to have every opportunity to have a successful career. We conduct monthly field trips where our youth get to see different career environments and meet different professionals. Our youth also have the opportunity to ask professionals about their work. This allows our youth to better understand what career opportunities exist and it allows them to start thinking about what they would like to do in the future.

Activities
Our youth have had the opportunity to explore various workplaces such as a dental office, a candy factory, a software firm, among many other opportunities.
We provide girls programming to help empower our girls to achieve their goals! We want our girls to know that they are in a safe, open environment that is receptive to their needs. Our girls have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with one another and with staff.

Activities
Our girls have made friendship bracelets, painted their nails, and performed fashion shows. They have also discussed societal beauty standards, explored male dominated career fields, and other topics.
We partner with Scouts BSA to provide outdoor education programming to our youth. It is important that youth learn to value and respect nature. Our youth learn about protecting our environment, surviving in the wilderness, and more! They learn about the value of teamwork, build their self-confidence, and learn that it is exciting to try new things.

Our youth have had the opportunity to go hiking, camping, and bird watching. Our youth have learned about tying various knots, safely starting a fire, and how to safely interact with wild animals.


Adult Programming
We provide a variety of programming for our adult community members. Our community centers, host adult classes that focus on fitness, art, technology, language, and more! We are receptive to our community members’ needs and provide programming that they are eager to participate in. We are always adding new programs to keep our community members active and engaged! We also provide direct case management support to assist our adult community members with accessing public benefits, community resources, and more!

Our community members have the opportunity to learn from skilled professionals. They have the opportunity to learn painting skills, music appreciation, as well as other possibilities.
Understanding how to use technology is an important skill for anyone living in our modern society. Knowing how to use different phone applications will allow community members to check their bank accounts, pay bills online, and have quicker access to community resources. Additionally, learning how to use different computer programs can significantly increase a community member’s odds for getting hired in a competitive workforce. There are endless benefits to learning how to use technology to its fullest extent!

Activities
We teach our residents how to use various websites such as Colorado PEAK, Indeed, MyUI, and more. Our residents learn how to download and use various phone applications that assist them with their every day lives. They also have the opportunity to learn how to use programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and more!
We want our community members to succeed in their chosen career path. We help them look for work, maintain work, and take steps to advance their career. We aim to ensure that our community members find employment that they enjoy and employment that grants them the financial freedom they deserve!

Activities
We teach our community members how to build strong resumes, cover letters, and how to effectively interview. We conduct mock interviews to help our residents be confident and successful when it counts. We take our direction from our community members. Whatever they need, we are there to assist!
Many of our community members are immigrants and refugees from all over the world. They struggle with completing every day tasks such as reading their mail, paying their bills, and communicating with their coworkers. Through our language courses, our community members are able to build their English language skills and gain self-sufficiency. We also have many community members who are hearing impaired. In order to better connect them to the community around them, we offer an American Sign Language course to any interested parties.

Activities
We provide English classes for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. We also provide English instruction for listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Our ASL classes also focus on different skills levels.
Here at Archway we are lifelong learners! Our community members understand the value of a good education. We provide educational classes that meet the needs of our community. We also offer assistance to our adult learners who are enrolled in formal educational programs.

Currently we provide an American citizenship studies course. This allows our residents to learn about American government and history. We would like to expand our educational classes to include math, writing, and more!
Financial freedom is a key component to leading a happy peaceful life. We want to ensure that our community members have the tools they need to not only be financially stable but to be financially free!

Activities
We teach our community members how to make a budget and how to follow it. We provide budgeting tips and help community members to adopt healthy spending habits. We teach our residents how to make a savings plan, a debt repayment plan, and more!
Many of our community member have questions about their child’s development. We created a parent advisory board so that we can be receptive to their needs and questions. We provide parenting classes that focus on issues that our community members need addressed.
Activities
We provide programming that focuses on children of all ages. We partner with The Spring Institute to provide a Ready Tots class that focuses on child development and effective parenting. We also provide instruction regarding how to effectively address teenage behavior issues. Whatever our community members need, we are here to provide!

Activities
We provide instruction that focuses on a variety of topics such as managing stress, resolving conflict, and setting healthy boundaries. We also provide programming that focuses on physical health tips and getting connected to medical resources. We partner with Eagles Nest to provide access to equine therapy to promote mental well-being.
Many of our community members lack reliable transportation and struggle with acquiring basic items such as food, cleaning supplies, and hygiene products. While our residents are saving and working towards a long-term solution, we offer immediate assistance. We provide weekly trips to the grocery store so that our community members have the goods they need to be happy and healthy.

Activities
We provide trips to Walmart, King Sooper’s, Safeway, Natural Grocers, Sam’s Club, and more. We also partner with A Precious Child, and transport community members to their free thrift store.
